With a class D1 driver's license you are allowed to drive:
Motor vehicles with a seating capacity between 9 and 16 passengers excluding the driver with a trailer with a gross weight rating not exceeding 750kg

Minimum age: 21 years

Requirement: class B license

Minimum theory classes:

Basic theory: 6 double lessons

Specific lessons: 10 double lessons; if you already hold a class C or C1 license: 4 double lessons, krid

Driving: 75 minutes. You will be driving in and out of towns and on the highway including a last check before departure and manual skills.

Extras: Before you receive the driver's license and before any kind of renewal is issued you have to furnish a proof of your physical aptitude. This medical checkup can be completed by your family doctor, who will examine your general medical condition. Additionally, your ability to cope with pressure as well as your orientation, concentration, attention and reaction abilities will be examined with standardized procedure. Please note that not every doctor has the required equipment at his/her disposal. Furthermore your eyesight has to be examined and acknowledged by an eye specialist.
Before first receipt of the driver's license as well as before renewal from the age of 50 on a proof of your physical and mental driving abilities or a medical-psychological certificate has to be furnished. The driver's license will be limited to 5 years. Afterwards the license can be renewed for 5 years a time provided the medical checkup is okay.
