With a class CE driver's license you are allowed to drive:
Tractor-trailers or truck-tractors with a gross vehicle weight rating not exceeding 40t (Iso container 44t)
(former class 2, krid)

Including classes: C1E, BE, M, L, T; if you hold a class D license: DE

Minimum age: 18 years

Requirement: class C license

Minimum theory classes:

Basic theory: 6 double lessons

Specific lessons: 4 double lessons

Driving: only contents laid down

Driving lessons: 5 rural roads and out of town driving lessons, 2 highway driving lessons, 3 night driving lessons
If class C and CE training are combined, you have to take
3 rural roads and out of town driving lessons, 1 highway driving lesson, 0 night driving lessons on the tractor
5 rural roads and out of town driving lessons, 2 highway driving lessons, 3 night driving lessons with the combination

Driving Test:

Written: yes

Driving: 75 minutes. You will be driving in and out of towns and on the highway.

Extras: Before you receive the driver's license and before any kind of renewal is issued you have to furnish a proof of your physical aptitude. This medical checkup can be completed by your family doctor, who will examine your general medical condition. Furthermore your eyesight has to be examined and acknowledged by an eye specialist. The driver's license will be limited to 5 years. Afterwards the license can be renewed for 5 years a time provided the medical checkup is okay.
